The Maine Federation of Humane Societies, a statewide network of companion animal welfare organizations, is seeking a Coordinator to help us achieve our mission of supporting animal shelters; promoting the adoption of homeless animals and responsible pet ownership; and ending pet overpopulation through education, outreach, and advocacy. Volunteering is a great way to see if the job is right for you and to also introduce yourself to the current management who might later consider you as a job candidate. AWS volunteers fulfill many of the roles needed at the shelter and are a vital part of our operations.
