BUXTON PUPPY MILL SEIZURE UPDATE (DAY 8)–
Aug. 28, 2007
- Several other organizations have joined in to assist with the Buxton operation. York County Emergency Management Agency has their Incident Managemenet Command Truck on site which allows internet accessability and an air conditioned area for workers to take a break in on hot days. Monadnock Humane Society from Keene NH, the New Hampshire SPCA of Stratham, NH and volunteers from the Scarborough Police Department are providing reinforcment as well. Determined to maintain some sort of normalcy, shelter staff and volunteers, donning new purple "Disaster Response" t-shrits have risen to the challenge and are continuing "business as usual" at AWS. As one long term volunteer coommented," IÕ amazed at the dedication of everyone. A lot of the staff have even given up their days off an are working straight through. TheyÕre incredible.Ó
