Hello,
Just to let you know Siggy (name Sigmund at adoption), adopted a few years ago, is getting along well with new roommate Tattoo (name Cleveland at adoption in Spring). Here are a few pictures of the boys. Kathy

To the kind folks at the West Kennebunk Animal Welfare --
I adopted Ben, a Miniature Australian Shepard, from your Shelter. It was a rather spur-of-the-moment decision, for such a big commitment, but it felt very right. Anyway, I want you to know that he's been with me for 6 days now, and we are both SO HAPPY! We've totally bonded and are learning more about one another all the time. Ben has adjusted very quickly, and is even winning over my cat. Everyone who meets him, loves him -- he's a gentle, affectionate dog who is quietly friendly to everyone, including children, other dogs, and even veteranarians! At first he seemed to only know his name, but has already learned "come" and "sit". He can be trusted off-leash, and tremendously enjoys running free in the huge dog park we have in town. In fact, we're about to head off for the park right now. Thanks again, and you can be sure that Ben has a loving home!

Our Willie adopted on June 4th is almost 6 months old now. He is such a joy to us, very affectionate, very smart, he has had very few accidents in the house, and we love him to pieces.
He has had 12 weeks of obedience, which he passed with flying colors. We now have him enrolled in the agility program which he loves.
He started with the tube, then onto jumps and weaving We are taking the weaving slowly because of his age. Our instructor is delighted with his speed and determination. He LOVES to be challenged, and is a quick learner. Our grandchildren love playing with Willie, he is great with the soccer ball, any tennis ball, and of course his frisbie. We are grateful for your web site, the pictures of the puppies (all ten of them) were so cute. We loved Andes and were delighted to be able to make him ours. Jennifer and Lance did a wonderful job Fostering not only the puppies but Cup Cake as well. Thanks to all of you for making it possible, and keep up the GOOD work.

Here's our SANDY, adopted from AWS on Mother's Day, 2009 !! She was found as a stray in Shapleigh and now lives happily in York with her eight dog "siblings", including Birdie whom we adopted from AWS almost six years ago. In this picture she is looking fluffy after her special medicated bath for a skin condition.
SANDY is such a good and tolerant girl of twelve years. As you may know, we have five terriers (three puppymill rescues from Missouri) and they jump all over her like little fleas. She couild care less !! She and our two year old ANDY (a rescued Westie) have a very special relationship. He curls up in her tummy and falls asleep.
Once again my partner and I urge folks to PLEASE consider adopting the seniors, no matter how much longer you might have them, every moment counts !! SANDY is our sixth adopted senior and every single dog has brought such joy to our lives.
Take good care,
Kerry and Wendy,

Hey there!
I adopted a maltese dog who was temporarily named Joker at the shelter. His name is now Gizmoe and I thought that I would send along some pics of him now.
